CONNECTING DIVERSITY<\/h2>

This programme arch presented an overview of migration of population as an inspiration in art and it reminded us of the positive consequences of migrations and mutual permeation in culture, which are an integral part of our lives.<\/p>

One of the main events was the \u2018Migration of Souls\u2019<\/a>, a unique literature pavilion, which connected visual and performing arts, with the aim to present the impact migrations have on an individual. We also experienced the Caravan<\/a>, a gastronomic journey across Europe through art and flavours, and many other programmes.<\/p>

Some of the names who marked the Migrations programme, among others, are Japanese singer-songwriter and UNHCR goodwill ambassador Miyavi<\/strong>, the legendary Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra<\/strong>, Antropoceno<\/strong> \u2013 a project by the two members of the famous ensemble Gotan Project<\/strong>, Christoph H. M\u00fcller and Eduardo Makaroff, pioneers in the art of combining traditional tango and modern pop with electronic music; the star of contemporary dance, Japanese artist Kaori Ito<\/strong>; winners of more than 100 platinum awards around the world, Original Enigma Voices<\/strong>, and others.<\/p>

CROSSROADS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The creation of Novi Sad through migrations was the theme of the exhibitions covering cultural heritage. We took a look at the past from the present perspective in order to envisage a new future. We tried to turn prejudice into laughter, to dance in the city streets and greet everyone who came back to Novi Sad in order to enrich it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t

The established and emerging artists of the European art scene addressed the topic of migrations as an inseparable part of the European identity through classical art, photography and contemporary creation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/section>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/section>\r\n\t\t\t\t

THE MIGRATION OF SOULS<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>

A unique literature pavilion, in this part of Europe, was held at the Novi Sad Fair so as to emphasise personal and individual experiences of migrations through different forms of art. The rich accompanying artistic and cultural programmes thematised physical departures and arrivals, wanderings, as well as less tangible but equally important questions regarding existential and metaphysical movements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t
