Novi Sad, as the European Capital of Culture, will present itself at the international festival KotorArt<\/a>, one of the largest and most important art festivals in Montenegro and the region, through three segments. Representatives of the \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation<\/a> will present the programme planned for the title year 2022, but also share their experiences and models founded by Novi Sad, which can now be applied in other cities in Serbia and the region.<\/p>\n

Nemanja Milenkovi\u0107, CEO of the Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation<\/strong>, will participate in the \u2018Novi Sad 2022\u2019 conference, Tuesday, 20 July, at 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/a>, where he will present the programme concept for 2022<\/a>, based on the \u20184 New Bridges\u2019 slogan, composed of eight programme arches. In addition to this, the processes and challenges faced by Novi Sad in the preparations for the European Capital of Culture will be discussed, all with the aim of sharing knowledge to colleagues from Montenegro, given that several Montenegrin cities \u2013 Budva, Tivat, Kotor and Herceg Novi<\/strong> together aspire to be the holders of the title of European Capital of Culture in 2028.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Violeta \u0110erkovi\u0107, the coordinator of the network of cultural stations of the \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 project<\/strong>, will be one of the speakers at the \u2018Philosopher\u2019s Square – The New Normal\u2019 forum, 18 July at 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/a>, which represents a significant part of the festival in the context of initiating important dialogues. Antonije Pu\u0161i\u0107, a graduate tourismologist and environmental lobbyist, better known as Rambo Amadeus, Dora Ru\u017edjak Podolski, the theatre director and manager of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and Ivo \u017dupanovi\u0107, university professor and tourism expert will also speak at the forum. Conferences within the \u2018New Normal\u2019 programme segment can also be followed live on the Facebook page and the official Youtube channel of the KotorArt festival.<\/p>\n

Due to the limited number of people in the audience, registration is required<\/strong> at protokol@kotorart.me<\/a> or by telephone number 069 \/ 37-35-37 (from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m). Registration is possible no earlier than three days, and no later than 24 hours before the beginning of the programme.<\/p>\n

Let us remind you that in April this year, Novi Sad provided support to Montenegrin candidates for the title of European Capital of Culture, announcing then that they would make their knowledge and experiences available to colleagues from the municipality of Boka.<\/p>\n

Novi Sad is among the first cities outside the European Union to be declared the European Capital of Culture and thus becoming one of the 60 cities that took this title. The opening ceremony will be held on 13 January 2022<\/strong>, and Novi Sad will present more than 4,000 local and foreign artists at 1,500 planned events<\/strong> during the title year.
