The \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation<\/a> launched the Public Call for co-financing cooperation programmes with Japan, with the aim to enrich the 2022 programme, while three projects<\/strong> that will be implemented in Novi Sad and its surroundings in the title year were selected.<\/p>\n

In order to connect better with Japanese culture and art scenes, the Foundation established the cooperation with the EU-Japan Fest<\/a>, organisation that was founded in 1992 with the aim to promote Japanese culture and art in Europe. EU-Japan Fest wanted to support cooperation projects with Japanese artists and organisations that fit in with the programme concept in the title year.<\/p>\n

The following projects have been selected:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. \u2018The 7th International Festival of the Accordion and Chamber Music – Eufonia\u2019, proponent Eufonia Association of Citizens<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. \u2018Metroplex 2022 \u2013 2122\u2019, proponent Novo Kulturno Naselje<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. \u2018The 9th Japanese-Serbian Film Festival (JSFF), proponent CULTCRAVE Association for development of art and culture<\/strong><\/p>\n

The selected programmes are in line with the programme concept and artistic vision \u2018For New Bridges<\/a>\u2019 that have been developed by the \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation and will be part of the programmes arches Heroines<\/a>, Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/a> and Other? Europe<\/a> in the title year.<\/p>\n

We remind that the last cycle of the public call for financial support for local artists and cultural workers for implementation of a study and a research trip to Japan within the \u2018Kizuna\u2019 exchange programme is open until 31 August.
