The week of visual arts of the Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/strong>\u00a0will be opened in Novi Sad\u2019s Gallery Square, a place that traditionally belongs to visual arts and which in the future will be turned into a space for nurturing existing and creating new lasting values.<\/span><\/p>\n

From 24 to 26 September<\/strong>, the square will be the epicentre of the Novi Sad art scene for all ages.\u00a0The SMIC project will be presented on the plateau in front of the museum.<\/strong>\u00a0The project encourages a critical consideration of the role of technology in new artistic practices. The unusual exhibition of the SULUV association, called \u2018Code Movements\u2019, deals with the research of minimal movements within the code of digital recording, and is based on the field of new media artistic practices.<\/p>\n

On Friday, 24 September,\u00a0the Gallery of Matica Srpska will open the \u2018Lasting Values \u2013 Art Collection of the DDOR Insurance\u2019 exhibition<\/strong>\u00a0which includes 81 works of art, the work of 65 artists, from those who made their first professional steps in the period between the two world wars, to artists who were formed during the last decades of the 20th century and to which the first decades of the new century belong.<\/p>\n

After the opening, the audience can expect the performance in the open by the\u00a0\u2018Rebel Brass\u2019<\/strong>, while the next day, Saturday, 25 September, is reserved for the\u00a0classical music concert for children<\/strong>\u00a0by pianists Rita Kinka and flutist Sonja Antuni\u0107<\/strong>, implemented by the Music Youth of Novi Sad. Various\u00a0creative activities and the creative workshop for children \u2018Let the Imagination Wander Around Sculpture Park\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0will be held on the same day.<\/p>\n

The last day of the opening of the week of visual arts in the\u00a0Gallery Square, 26 September<\/strong>, is reserved for the\u00a0opening of the Sculpture Park and the \u2018Picnic with Sculptures\u2019 event<\/strong>, as well as for the\u00a0\u2018Positano String Quartet\u2019 concert.<\/strong>\u00a0The partner of the programme in the Gallery Square in the week of visual arts is DDOR.<\/p>\n

In addition to the opening in the Gallery Square, the audience will have a chance to enjoy programmes dedicated to visual arts the whole week. The programmes will be implemented throughout Novi Sad. Combining rich artistic heritage and contemporary creativity, visitors will witness a different concept of presenting visual art, through various exhibitions of paintings and photographs, art installations, workshops, children\u2019s creativity and film screenings.<\/p>\n

From 24 to 28 September, the\u00a0\u2018Sketchbook\u2019 workshops<\/strong>\u00a0will be held in the Egys\u00e9g Cultural Station. On Sunday, 26 September, the\u00a0\u2018Homogeneous in Inhomogeneous\u2019 exhibition<\/strong>\u00a0by Darija Dragojlovi\u0107, one of the 30 projects selected at the Kaleidoscope of Culture call, will be opened in Fabrika, and the audience will be able to see it until 30 September.<\/p>\n

The Svilara cultural station will be in the sign of the\u00a0exhibition<\/strong>\u00a0of one of the most eminent Serbian painters\u00a0Vladimir Veli\u010dkovi\u0107<\/strong>, on Monday, 27 September. The exhibition will be implemented on the promotion of \u2018Vladimir Veli\u010dkovi\u0107\u2019 monograph. Until 11 October, the audience will have a chance to see his works created in the period from 1982 to 2000.<\/p>\n

\u2018Museum of the Future\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0ambient installation by \u017deljko Grulovi\u0107 will be presented at the New Places in Detelinara and Novo Naselje, i.e. small, public areas within the \u2018New Places\u2019 project which the \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation is implementing in cooperation with local communities and the Association of Architects of Novi Sad, 27 on September, in Rumena\u010dka Street, as well as the\u00a0\u2018Dust\u2019 film<\/strong>\u00a0by Filip Markovinovi\u0107, which will be shown in Partizanskih baza Street, in Novo Naselje.<\/p>\n

The premiere of the film created within the \u2018Kizuna\u2019 project and the multimedia concert of the \u2018Bruke\u2019 band<\/strong>\u00a0the audinece wil be able to see on Tuesday, 28 September, in the Egys\u00e9g Cultural Station, while the\u00a0promotion of the book by Vitomirka Trebovac \u2018Days of the Full Moon\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0is scheduled at the same place.<\/p>\n

\u2018Contemporary Challenges and Traditional Knowledge of Conservation and Restoration\u2019 workshops<\/strong>\u00a0led by the young artist Milica Sekuli\u0107, will be held on 29 September in the Egys\u00e9g Cultural Station.<\/p>\n

In case of bad weather, the outdoor programmes will be moved to alternative locations, and all information about that will be published on the website and social networks of the Kaleidoscope of Culture. Entrance to all programmes is free of charge.<\/p>\n

The Kaleidoscope of Culture<\/strong>\u00a0is a yearlong project that promotes togetherness within which artists, cultural institutions, non-governmental organisations and most diverse audience connect in order to create spaces and programmes that will be presented to the widest audience across Novi Sad, creating a unique picture of diversity.<\/p>\n
