Due to the simultaneous opening of two exhibitions at the two museums \u2013 the Museum of Vojvodina<\/a> and the City Museum of Novi Sad<\/a>, which will tell a new story of our city, for the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Novi Sad, on 1 February, the traffic regime in the city centre will be temporarily changed.<\/p>\n

Temporary change in traffic regime will come into effect for the purpose of safe and responsible installation of scenography, that is the bridge that will connect the two museums and, in a way, lead the citizens of Novi Sad and their guests into an innovative approach to the history of Novi Sad, which will offer two significant cultural institutions in Novi Sad.<\/p>\n

The temporary change of traffic will be carried out in the part of \u017darko Vasiljevi\u0107 Street, opposite the building of the Museum of Vojvodina, from Dunavska Street to the entrance to the Republic Square, i.e., the entrance to the Fish Market, during the opening of exhibitions in both museums, due to the celebration of the Day of Novi Sad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The temporary change in the traffic regime will take effect from 8 a.m. on Saturday, 29 January 2022, to 8 p.m. on a Wednesday, 2 February 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibitions \u2018Where Migrations End: From Roman Pannonia to Today\u2019s Vojvodina\u2019 at the Museum of Vojvodina and \u2018Accents \u2013 Novi Sad\u2019 at the City Museum of Novi Sad, will mark the beginning of the Migrations programme arch, within the European Capital of Culture project. Merging the programmes and uniting the capacities of two important cultural institutions, in cooperation with \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation, will enable the implementation of the best practices of European cultural policy, and Novi Sad will confirm its role as the cultural centre in the region.<\/p>\n

The exhibition \u2018Where Migrations End: From Roman Pannonia to Today\u2019s Vojvodina\u2019 at the Museum of Vojvodina has been conceived in an innovative way, hitherto unseen in the museum practice in our country, with every part elaborated in detail and presented with the synergy of science, culture, and various forms of contemporary art.<\/p>\n

In order for the citizens of Novi Sad and their guests to get to know their city in a different way, the transition from the period of long Roman rule, through the 18th century until the 20th century, will be crowned by a bridge in \u017darka Vasiljevi\u0107a Street which will lead to the \u2018Novi Sad Exhibition\u2019\u00a0at the\u00a0Museum of the City of Novi Sad<\/strong>. This exhibition is conceived as a multimedia platform that will, symbolically, consist of 22 units \u2013 22 accents.<\/p>\n

Admission to the exhibitions on 1 February will be free for all visitors, and from 2 February, tickets will be charged per regular museum prices.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The organisers ask the visitors to adhere to all the epidemiological measures, for the sake of maintaining health and to better enjoy the cultural content. Visitors are obliged to wear face masks during all the events.<\/p>\n
