{"id":22250,"date":"2022-04-20T15:53:03","date_gmt":"2022-04-20T13:53:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/?p=22250"},"modified":"2022-04-27T12:44:00","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T10:44:00","slug":"flags-of-the-future-new-energy-in-the-creative-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/en\/flags-of-the-future-new-energy-in-the-creative-district\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Flags of the Future\u2019 \u2013 New Energy in the Creative District"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>From 28 to 30 April, almost 200 young artists from about 20 countries will bring new energy to the Creative District in Novi Sad, within the <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/flags-of-the-future-3\/\">\u2018Flags of the Future\u2019<\/a> programme.<\/strong> At about <strong>70 events<\/strong>, young people will transform the authentic space of the industrial heritage of Novi Sad through music, dance, circus, plays, exhibitions, fashion and various activations and present <a href=\"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/en\/newly-rebuilt-radionica-in-district-is-starting-to-operate-through-the-flags-of-the-future\/\">the new image<\/a> of this place that is starting a new life.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Flags of the Future\u2019 relies on <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/schools-of-the-future\/\">\u2018Schools of the Future\u2019<\/a>, a programme unit for children and youth during which Novi Sad schools briefly became stages for plays, exhibitions, musicals and experimental programmes, and supreme foreign and local artists as lecturers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"\u0428\u043a\u043e\u043b\u0435 \u0431\u0443\u0434\u0443\u045b\u043d\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0438 \/ Schools of the Future\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/938iIEBcDiI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Visual art will be represented in \u2018Flags of the Future\u2019 through four unusual exhibitions: <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/exhibition-drawings-travel-through-time\/\"><strong>\u2018Drawings Travel Through Time\u2019<\/strong><\/a>, an exhibition of drawings created by generations of children for more than half a century, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/they-live-student-lives-revealed-through-context-based-art-practices\/\">\u2018They Live\u2019<\/a><\/strong>, an exhibition of student works that depicts the everyday life of students, new contemporary art practices at the exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/art-in-the-palm-of-your-hand-exhibition-differences\/\"><strong>\u2018Differences\u2019<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/the-leave-or-stay-exhibition\/\"><strong>\u2018Leave or Stay\u2019<\/strong><\/a> exhibition in the first open-air gallery in Novi Sad.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These are works by children and youth, primarily from the former Yugoslavia, but there is also an international collection that includes works from 110 countries around the world. The exhibition will be divided by decades, by pavilions, and in that manner, visitors will be able to follow the chronology of the development of children&#8217;s drawings. At the end of that journey, the Pavilion of the Future awaits us, as a time capsule where children will have the opportunity to create\u2019, said Ljubica Tankosi\u0107, director of the Centre for Art Education of Children and Youth of Vojvodina.<\/p>\n<p>The voice of young artists can be heard on as many as four stages, throughout the Creative District, through a variety of music genres \u2013 from jazz and rock, through indie and pop, to trap, hip-hop and electro sound. On this occasion Balkan soul musician <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/marco-louis-flags-of-the-future\/\">Marko Louis<\/a><\/strong>, young jazz ensembles <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/arthur-possing-quartet-flags-of-the-future\/\"><strong>The Arthur Possing Quartet<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/any-key-trio-flags-of-the-future\/\">Any Key Trio<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/kijube-flags-of-the-future\/\"><strong>Kijube<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kalendar.novisad2022.rs\/en\/events\/hauptman-future-of-europe\/\">Hauptman<\/a><\/strong>, <a about the space of the Creative District began with a lot of mistrust and criticism, but then, thanks to conversations and discussions, and above all faith, we came to what Novi Sad has today and what remains its legacy. The plants in these areas are starting again, but now not industrial, but creative, and nothing will be able to stop those plants anymore. We wish to jointly pave the way for future generations, primarily young people, who will continue to further develop the field of culture in our city.
