Various artistic and discussion programmes will launch a dialogue between domestic and European thinkers in the search for a Europe of Peace between 23<\/strong> and 27 June<\/strong> in the Creative District, which will become a veritable District of Peace<\/a> over these five days.<\/p>\n

Through different attitudes, views and confrontations, professors, scientists, and intellectuals will address issues related to the experience of life in conflict and post-conflict European zones, the fight for women’s rights in various forms of patriarchy, the attitude of social institutions and media towards victims and reconciliation policies, and a myriad of other major topics.<\/p>\n

This programme is realized within the Fortress of Peace programme arch which deals with reflection and critical consideration of war conflicts and their consequences, searching for a culture of peace, promoting intercultural dialogue and reconciliation, and hosting more than 1,500 artists in almost 150 programmes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was the reason for some of the most relevant speakers in Europe, such as political economist David Adler<\/strong>, famous European political activist Sre\u0107ko Horvat<\/strong>, psychologist and award-winning professor at Tel Aviv University Dr. Nurit Schnabel<\/strong>, an academician at Keele University Massi Noor<\/strong>, writer and political scientist from Vienna Judith G\u00f6tz<\/strong>, human rights defender from Budapest Agnes Dar\u00f3czi<\/strong>, and scientist and professor of sociology at the University College Dublin Sini\u0161a Male\u0161evi\u0107<\/strong> come to Novi Sad, the European Capital of Culture.<\/p>\n

The Creative District in the former industrial zone of the city will be the venue for some of the larger exhibitions within the \u2018Fortress of Peace\u2019. On the plateau of the Creative District, right next to the promenade of the Sunny Quay, a \u2018Media Labyrinth\u2019<\/a> <\/strong>will be set up on 23 June<\/strong>, from which the exit is easy if you give correct answers which will be hidden in the exhibition part. On the same day, the exhibition \u2018Imaginary Borders\u2019<\/strong><\/a> on Suba Plateau in Liman Park will provide an answer to the question of how non-European artists and activists experience the idea of Europe and the European Union. From 26 June<\/strong>, some of the most important statesmen, thinkers, and artists of the last century will guide the audience through nine points along the Belgrade Quay, the Quay of the Victims of the Raid, and the Sunny Quay as part of the multimedia exhibition \u2018In Search of Europe\u2019<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the five-day talks on reconciliation, the future of Europe, and other current social and political issues, four original and provocative bands will perform, which deal with current social and political topics through their activist approach. The first concert, on 23 June<\/strong>, is reserved for specific, critical lyrics of the band TBF<\/strong><\/a>. Music that sings about love, but is also strongly socially engaging, will be heard in the District of Peace on 24 June<\/strong> as the Sarajevo band Helem Nejse<\/strong><\/a> arrives, while the Bosnian band Zoster<\/strong><\/a> will hold its concert on Saturday, 25 June<\/strong>, presenting its music full of messages of tolerance, peace, and love. All three concerts start at 10.30 p.m. On Monday, June 27<\/strong>, the prominent Novi Sad band Obojeni program<\/strong><\/a> will perform at 10 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n
