Novi Sad closes the European Capital of Culture title year 2022 with Do\u010dek<\/strong><\/a>, an unusual artistic and production programme that will illuminate the baroque ambience of the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress. The best European Trend Brand in the field of culture in 2021 will be implemented for the sixth time in Novi Sad, through a combination of visual and performing arts.<\/p>\n

On December 31, the audience will enjoy a music programme on several stages: on the main stage in front of the Belgrade Gate, Perpetuum Jazzile<\/a><\/strong> opens the programme at 9 p.m., and after them the concert will be held by Kosheen<\/a><\/strong> from 11 p.m., and Biesmans<\/a><\/strong> DJ will perform half an hour after midnight. Also, on the stage located in Prote Mihald\u017ei\u0107a Square, the audience will listen Stereo MC\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> from 10 p.m., and Mimi Mercedez<\/a><\/strong> from 11:30 p.m. Monohrom<\/a><\/strong> will perform on the stage in \u0160trosmajerova Street at 10 p.m., Repetitor<\/a><\/strong> at 11 p.m., while Obojeni Program<\/a><\/strong> will begin the concert half an hour after midnight. Tesla Light Gallery<\/a><\/strong> revives the Suburbium through the works of independent artists, among whom are: Chida Yasuhiro<\/a><\/strong> from Japan, one of Artdex’s \u2018Nine Brilliant World Light Artists\u2019, Pavla Beranova<\/a><\/strong> from the Czech Republic, winner of awards for interactive installations and best lighting design, Dorijan Kolund\u017eija<\/a><\/strong> who runs the new media studio \u2018Gallery 12\u2019, whose project is the Museum of the Future in Dubai, Goran Despotovski<\/a><\/strong> as a representative of the Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina<\/strong> (SULUV), artists Dejan Stojkov and An\u0111elko Popi\u0107<\/a><\/strong> and others.<\/p>\n

Admission to all the programmes on 31 December in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress is free<\/strong>, and there will be drink and food stands for visitors in the Suburbium. Mobile toilets will also be provided.<\/p>\n

Temporary change of traffic regime<\/h4>\n

Due to the implementation of Do\u010dek, there will be a temporary traffic ban in the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress, i.e. in Beogradska Street, from Vladike Nikolaja Square to the road to the Fortress, in \u0160trosmajerova Street, Prote Mihald\u017ei\u0107a Street, Vladimira Nazora Street, and Lisinskog Street, as well as until the parking lot on the upper plateau of the Petrovaradin Fortress, in Petrovaradin. Due to the temporary ban on traffic, the routes of bus lines 3, 3a, 9, 9a, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, and 69 will also be changed. The temporary change to the traffic regime is valid from 29 December 2022 at 8 a.m. to 2 January 2023 at 6 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Milutin and Mileva as the beginning and end of the European Capital of Culture title year<\/h4>\n

Mileva and Milutin were the central figures of the official opening of the European Capital of Culture, on 13 January this year, through the \u2018Zeniteum\u2019 spectacle. The \u2018Milutin: Time and Universe\u2019 exhibition was inspired by Milankovi\u0107’s work, and now the circle will be closed with the \u2018Mileva: We Are One Rock\u2019 exhibition, as the crown of the title year, since the exhibitions represent one whole. While through the \u2018Milutin: Time and Universe\u2019 programme, the famous Studio M got a completely new look, now the same has been done with the 1,200 square metres of the renovated part of the City Museum of Novi Sad at the Petrovaradin Fortress, where the exhibition \u2018Mileva: We Are One Rock\u2019 will be installed.<\/p>\n

During the last day of 2022, but also during the New Year’s Eve, there will be numerous expert guides through the exhibitions \u2018Mileva: We Are one Rock\u2019 and \u2018Milutin: Time and Universe\u2019. Admission to both exhibitions is free of charge, but registration is required.<\/strong> Both exhibitions will be open on 1 and 3 January from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., while \u2018Milutin: Time and Universe\u2019 will be open on 2 January as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n
