Ticket sales for 13 January 2024 start today at noon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Created as part of the \u2018Novi Sad &#8211; European Capital of Culture\u2019 project, during the previous seven years, Do\u010dek directly contributed to Novi Sad winning prestigious awards <strong>\u2013<\/strong> the award for one of the most successful European Capitals of Culture \u2018Melina Mercouri\u2019, the award for the Best European Trend Brand in the field of culture, a prestigious UNESCO list of Creative Cities, while it was twice nominated for the Best European Festivals.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' \/><\/a>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>As the first New Year&#8217;s celebration that combined performing and visual arts, and already included spectacular new media exhibitions, Do\u010dek continues to set new standards, changing the practice of traditional fireworks, which it replaces with special visual effects and biodegradable materials on 31 December, in the spirit of the famous Tesla Light Gallery, which every year has a new edition in Suburbium.<\/p>\n<p>On 31 December and 13 January, one of the best harpists in the world, <strong>Catrin Finch<\/strong>, a musician who changed the history of the accordion, <strong>Richard Galliano<\/strong>, the world&#8217;s supreme <em>a capella<\/em> band <strong>A Filetta<\/strong>, guitar legend <strong>Vlatko Stefanovski<\/strong>, a young band whose concerts are all sold out, <strong>Bu\u010d Kesidi<\/strong>, the renowned <strong>symphony orchestra of the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska<\/strong>, along with the regionally famous Banja Luka band <strong>SOPOT<\/strong> are coming to the seventh Do\u010dek.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32360\" Berlin, along with the recognizable name of the local techno scene \u2013 <strong>Marko Nasti\u0107<\/strong>, who are joined by the Novi Sad <strong>DJs Runy<\/strong> and <strong>2MUCH<\/strong>, and <strong>Elemental<\/strong>, the winners of the MTV award and the famous Croatian Porin, as well as the legends of rock in this area \u2013 <strong>Partibrejkers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure Yugoslav films, this year&#8217;s winners of the most prestigious regional music award Milan Mladenovi\u0107, <strong>Ljubi\u010dice<\/strong>, the most current regional tribute band from Serbia <strong>ABBA RING<\/strong>, Parisian producer and <strong>DJ Franck Roger<\/strong>, avant-garde Portuguese fado diva <strong>Gisela Jo\u00e3o<\/strong>, representatives of local progressive alternative sound <strong>Kanda, Kod\u017ea i Neboj\u0161a<\/strong> in the unplugged version, originator of the global musical phenomenon known as Balkan Beat <strong>Kiril D\u017eajkovski<\/strong>, London alternative rock band <strong>Flamingods<\/strong>, one of the first representatives of the local electronic scene <strong>DJ Dejan Mili\u0107evi\u0107<\/strong>, Serbian jazz diva <strong>Lena calculations and two types of art \u2013 performing and visual, cooperation with educational institutions continues, including the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Technical Sciences, as well as visual artists who all together create a new edition of the <strong><em>Tesla Light Gallery<\/em><\/strong> at the Fortress on 31 December, and a special design of indoor scenes on 13 January.<\/p>\n<p>From 2017, when the first Do\u010dek was implemented until the last, the number of overnight stays in Novi Sad jumped by as much as 90 percent in December, i.e. 130 percent in January, and in December 2022 and January 2023, the highest number of overnight stays in these months was realized in the last 20 years, according to official data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past seven years, more than 400 programmes have been implemented at more than 100 locations in the city and its surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>All programmes at Do\u010dek on 31 December are free. Tickets for 13 January can be found at all Gigstix ticket offices and online at gigstix.com.
