After the grand opening at Korzo, the programme of the seventh Kaleidoscope of Culture continues today with a week dedicated to applied arts<\/strong>. The programme starts at 7 p.m<\/strong>. in one of the most significant spaces of the European Capital of Culture \u2013 the District. During the Applied Arts Week, entrance to the District will only be possible via Despota Stefana Boulevard No. 5, near the Fabrika facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to the Kaleidoscope of Culture programme, a temporary traffic ban on Despota Stefana Boulevard from Dragi\u0161e Bra\u0161ovana Street (Liberty Bridge) to \u0160ekspirova Street is in force. The temporary change in the traffic regime is valid in the period from 6 September from 7 a.m. to 8 September until 1 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the first evening of the Applied Arts Week, on Friday, 6 September, at 8:30 p.m.<\/strong>, a lecture on art and technology<\/strong> will be held in the District by world-renowned artist Andrew Melchior<\/strong>, who has collaborated with Bj\u00f6rk, David Bowie, and Massive Attack. The following day, on Saturday, 7 September, at 7 p.m.<\/strong>, Andrew Melchior will also lead an interactive workshop on innovations in creative media \u2013 ‘Harnessing Technology for Storytellin’<\/em><\/strong>. Additionally, Andrew Jose<\/strong>, a supreme artist in the global hairstyling industry, will present two performances<\/strong> with his academy \u2013 ‘Inside Out’<\/em> on 6 September at 7 p.m. and ‘Modern Tribes’<\/em> on 7 September at 8:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout the Applied Arts Week, two more workshops will take place: the A61 Weaving School and the ‘Together as One’<\/em> pottery and graphics workshop<\/strong>, both starting at 7 p.m.<\/strong> The Kulturanova Association will present the interactive project ‘Stop-Trick<\/strong>‘,<\/em> introducing visitors to the world of stop-motion animation and multimedia art.<\/p>\n

From 7 p.m.<\/strong>, nine exhibitions will be opened: ‘The World of Pavel Surovi: Mira Brtka’<\/strong><\/em> at SCCNS Fabrika<\/strong>, ‘The Object of Nostalgi<\/strong><\/em>a’<\/em> by \u0160ok Zadruga in the Skladi\u0161te building<\/strong>. In the Radionica<\/strong> building, the exhibitions ‘Drawing as Thought<\/strong>‘<\/em> by Petar Mirkovi\u0107, Boris Luki\u0107, Tadija Jani\u010di\u0107, and six other artists, ‘Pearl Tiaras KEY by J. Nikadimus \u2013 Jewelry Embroidery the Old Masters<\/strong>\u2019 Meth<\/em>od<\/em> ‘Warehouse of Memories<\/strong>‘<\/em> by Aleksandar Dimitrijevi\u0107, and ‘Production (In)finite<\/strong>‘ <\/em>\u00a0by Atelje 61 will be opened. At OPENS, there will be an exhibition and fashion show ‘Our Own, Similar, Ecological<\/strong>‘<\/em> by third and fourth-year students of the ‘Bogdan \u0160uput’<\/em> high school, while in the District, an outdoor exhibition ‘Smic. Moving Form \u2013 Body Relations<\/strong>‘<\/em> by the Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina, as well as the Terra Centre for Fine and Applied Arts Sculpture Exhibition<\/strong><\/em> and an exhibition of vintage cars<\/strong>, will take place.<\/p>\n
