{"id":36088,"date":"2026-04-16T11:34:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T09:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/?p=36088"},"modified":"2026-04-16T11:34:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T09:34:00","slug":"artists-erase-the-boundaries-of-space-seven-selected-for-an-international-residency-in-szeged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/en\/artists-erase-the-boundaries-of-space-seven-selected-for-an-international-residency-in-szeged\/","title":{"rendered":"Artists Erase the Boundaries of Space: Seven Selected for an International Residency in Szeged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These days, Szeged is becoming a meeting point of art and contemporary social issues, as seven artists from Serbia and Hungary have been given the opportunity, through the international project Parks4All, to explore the boundaries between the personal and the collective, and between real and perceived space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the artistic residency, which has just begun, participants will engage with the theme of <strong>NON-PLACE<\/strong>, examining the relationship between individuals, space, objects, and their inner worlds through various forms of contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Out of 11 submitted applications, an expert jury selected seven artists: Aleksandar Stanojevi\u0107 Kempa, Alexandra J\u00e1mbor, Jana Panajotovi\u0107, Adri\u00e1n Kl\u00e1jo, Gl\u00f3ria Mony\u00f3, Ingrid Rafai, and Szabolcs Vass, whose works will be developed in Szeged until April 30. The open call for this artistic residency was launched by the Catholic Youth Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of their work will be presented to the public at a festival within the Parks4All project, which will take place at Dugonics Square in Szeged from April 30 to May 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This residency was preceded by a residency in Novi Sad in October last year, where Serbian and Hungarian artists created their works in public green spaces, exploring the connections between art, community, and nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Parks4All project is jointly implemented by: Cinema City (Serbia, Lead Partner), the Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture Foundation (Serbia), Wemsical Serbia (Serbia), DDTG Nonprofit Ltd. (Hungary), and the Catholic Youth Foundation (Hungary).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary\u2013Serbia Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary\u2013Serbia Programme is implemented within the European Union\u2019s financial framework for the period 2021\u20132027, through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA). Based on a shared management system, the programme funds and supports cooperation projects between organisations from eligible regions: Csongr\u00e1d-Csan\u00e1d and B\u00e1cs-Kiskun counties in Hungary, and the West Ba\u010dka, North Ba\u010dka, South Ba\u010dka, North Banat, Central Banat, South Banat, and Srem districts in Serbia. The programme aims to develop a stable region of cooperation and improve the quality of life in the border area.
