{"id":9107,"date":"2021-05-24T09:22:30","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T09:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/2021\/05\/24\/open-call-for-school-of-participation-in-graz\/"},"modified":"2021-06-28T17:23:58","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T17:23:58","slug":"open-call-for-school-of-participation-in-graz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/en\/open-call-for-school-of-participation-in-graz\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Call for School of Participation in Graz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The \u2018Novi Sad \u2013 European Capital of Culture\u2019 Foundation has opened a call for the school of participation in Graz, which will be held from 1 \u2013 8 August.<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15895\" src=\"https:\/\/novisad2022.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/FB.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This time, the participants will deal with the topic of \u2018community art\u2019 in urban spaces through sound, photography and filming workshops, costume and stage design, dramaturgy, text writing and performance. <strong>All interested can apply via <a href=\"mailto:international@ns2021.rs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">international@ns2021.rs<\/a> until 6 June at midnight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants will take part in the \u2018Egbatberger Stadtgefl\u00fcster\u2019 verbatim theatre project as part of Graz&#8217;s largest summer festival, La Strada, under the mentorship of representatives of <a href=\"https:\/\/walktheplank.co.uk\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walk the Plank<\/a> (UK). You can find additional information <a href=\"https:\/\/novisad2021.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Graz-School-of-Participation-Call-Out.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The call is open to all candidates who are over the age of 18 and live in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, who are dedicated to creative work and interested in the engaged art, regardless of the level and nature of education. Selected candidates are expected to be open to working with colleagues from across Europe and ready to acquire new skills.<\/p>\n<p>To participate in the training, it is necessary to send the following documents in English:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV<\/li>\n<li>A motivation letter of up to 300 words explaining why you would like to participate in this training and what you have to offer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on the received applications, the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/novisad2021.rs\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Novi Sad 2022 \u2013 European Capital of Culture<\/a>\u2019 Foundation will select four participants from Serbia for the School of Participation in Graz. For any questions or concerns, please contact <a href=\"mailto:international@ns2021.rs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">international@ns2021.rs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The School of Participation is the training implemented within the Creative Europe project called European Outdoor Arts Academy \u2013 School of Participation, which brings together up to 30 participants from nine partner countries (UK, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Austria, Serbia, Ireland, Armenia, Estonia and Hungary) in order to gain new practical knowledge and experience in creating artistic participatory content in the open air.<\/p>\n<p>The last training within the School of Participation called \u2018Making Art that Matters\u2019 was held online from 12 to 16 April and gathered 20 participants from eight countries who had the opportunity to learn about the principles and examples of engaged art, discovered the importance of artistic interventions and performances to drive social changes. The topic they covered for five days was ecology and environmental protection. current situation with the coronavirus pandemic and the measures that may affect the participants&#8217; travel in the future, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the trainings or to hold them
