The ‘Novi Sad 2022 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation has opened a call for the ‘Making Art that Matters!’ training, which will be held in Novi Sad from 12 – 18 April. Deadline for application is 19 March 2021 till noon.
Participants will have a chance to learn about the principles and examples of engaged art, along with mentors from Walk the Plank (UK), the Multimedia Centre ‘Led Art’ and the Šok Zadruga (SRB), and to discover the importance of artistic interventions and performances for initiating social changes, as well as to design and organize an engaged participatory outdoor event together. ‘Making Art that Matters!’ is one of the five Schools of Participation organized within the Creative Europe project of the European Outdoor Arts Academy – School of Participation. The Novi Sad School of Participation will bring together 30 participants from nine partner countries (UK, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Austria, Serbia, Ireland, Armenia, Estonia and Hungary) to gain new practical knowledge and experience in creating outdoor artistic participatory content.
The call is open to all candidates who are dedicated to creative work and interested in the engaged art, regardless of the level and nature of education. Selected candidates are expected to be open to working with colleagues from across Europe and ready to acquire new skills.
The working language of the training is English.

For selected candidates who are not from Novi Sad, the accommodation costs are covered by the organizers. Travel costs are covered by candidates. For any questions or concerns, please contact international@ns2021.rs.
Having in mind the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic and the measures that may affect the participants’ travel in the future, the organizers reserve the right to change the date of the training in Novi Sad, to cancel it or to hold it online.
