At the Novi Sad Theatre, as part of the “Isadora Duncan” Festival, the performance Broken Rib was staged, shedding light through powerful scenic imagery and personal testimonies on the connection between misogynistic stereotypes and femicide.
The performance was realised as part of the project FEMMINICITY – A Network of Cities for Women’s Participation in Public Policy Making, supported through the European Union’s CERV programme (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values).
The project is led by the Hungarian State Theatre “Csiky Gergely” from Timișoara, in partnership with the “Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture” Foundation and the theatre troupe “Drž’ ne daj” from Novi Sad, as well as partner organisations from France (Montpellier), Poland (Wrocław), and Slovenia (Maribor).
Through international cooperation and artistic expression, the project contributes to strengthening the themes of gender equality and the role of women in shaping public policies within the contemporary European context.
