Tomorrow, on 13 January, the spectacular Doček, including more than 40 events across the city, is taking place in Novi Sad. The unique celebration of New Year’s Eve, according to the Julian calendar, will be another exciting audio-visual journey for all citizens of Novi Sad and its visitors planning to spend 13 January in Serbian Athens.
Due to the great interest for the Doček event taking place on 13 January, most of the concerts have been sold out, but you will still have an opportunity to buy tickets for particular concerts. Tickets are still available for sale at all Gigs Tix box offices and online on their website for the following concerts: Konstrakta and Zemlja Gruva in the Serbian National Theatre, Shortparis in Fabrika, Haelos in the Youth Theatre, ABOP in Radnički Dom, Ke Ma and Shihan Wang with the Silk & Wind duo in the Novi Sad Theatre, and Sana Garić in the Svilara Cultural Station.
You will have an opportunity to buy tickets for particular concerts at the very entrance: ABOP, Sana Garić, Shortparis, Konstrakta and Zemlja Gruva and Haelos. Due to the great interest, we provided a limited number of tickets valid for purchase at the entrance for already sold-out concerts – Sevdaliza, YU Grupa and Divanhana. Admission to the concerts at all locations and ticket sales will start an hour before the mentioned performances.
The following concerts broke ticket sales record – the Novi Sad DJ, producer and musical Maverick, Space Motion & Tribe, in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, with Undercatt, another great name on the international electronic music scene, one of the greatest jazz pianists Tigrana Hamasyan in the City Concert Hall, Đorđe David and Ivana Peters in the Barka Cultural Station, African R’n’B princess Nneka in the Synagogue, a singer whose voice oversteps the genre boundaries and fills large concert halls Tijana Bogićević in the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad, the music diva from the Netherlands Sevdaliza in the Serbian National Theatre, one of the most recognised world music violinists in Europe Lajkó Félix in the Reformed Christian Church, the best jazz band from Serbia, EYOT, in the Egység Cultural Station, the world-famous band Divanhana in the ‘Laza Kostić’ Grammar School, the singer of spiritual and ethno music Danica Crnogorčević in the Serbian National Theatre and the legendary YU Grupa in the great hall of the NIS Business Centre. The Doček programme has been supported by the NIS Business Centre.
Within Doček on 13 January in the Bukovac Cultural Station, the Visoko C Association will be in charge of the children’s programme, while amazing girls from the tamburitza band La Banda will also perform there. The Kal band brings the fusion of sounds to the Rumenka Cultural Station, while the local organisation in the recently opened Kovilj Cultural Station will present a special artistic programme. Admission to their performances is free.
Programmes in the iconic Novi Sad cafés will also be part of Doček. Therefore, we can expect the performance by DJ Marko Nastić, the Macedonian band Dope Kukjata, which will be joined on stage by local rappers Kene Beri and Zicer, as well as the Gazorpazorp band, the Šlagvort band and many others.
