The ‘Vila’ family festival will be held from 3 to 5 June in the unique ambience of Fruška Gora, in Vrdnik (Fruške Terme Resort). As the organiser of the first Fruška Gora festival, the Foundation ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ provided citizens with free transportation to the ‘Vila’ festival by city buses.
Transportation will be done from Novi Sad to the Fruške Terme Resort in Vrdnik and back. Everyone who wants to go to the ‘Vila’ will have seven departures and the same number of return trips for each festival day. The place of departure is the plateau at the Railway Station in Novi Sad. The ride back to the city leaves from the bus stop at the Fruške Terme Resort. Additional planned bus stops for the passenger pickup on the route Novi Sad – Vrdnik (Fruške Terme Resort) – Novi Sad are the Liberty Bridge in Novi Sad and the bus station in the centre of Sremska Kamenica.

In order to preserve our oldest national park and provide a better quality of experience in this unique environment, we ask everyone who comes by car for patience and understanding. Due to the specifics of the location, everyone who comes with their own vehicle is asked to use only marked parking spaces, to carpool in order to reduce the number of vehicles in Vrdnik and to take the opportunity to walk from the parking lot to the festival venue. Above all, we recommend that visitors come with provided free transportation, and just enjoy themselves.
The ‘Vila’ festival, part of the European Capital of Culture Heroines programme, includes a wide range of musical, theatrical and visual performances, workshops, and gastronomic events, as well as a rich programme for children – a multitude of workshops, dance performances, movie screenings, and literary events which will liven up the first weekend in June. Admission to all programmes is free.
Erste Bank is the partner of the Heroine programme arch.
