CULTURE OF PEACE
Novi Sad, as the European Capital of Culture, invites you to critically rethink the causes and consequences of warfare and to set out in search of a culture of peace through theory and socially engaged art. Such thinking directs us to face the past, create a new attitude toward the culture of remembrance, and pay tribute to the victims of wars in the world, Europe, and the Western Balkans.
Through exhibitions, performances, plays, musicals, concerts, and film screenings, we nurture a culture of remembrance, explore different concepts of peace, togetherness, and artistic rebellion, and promote anti-fascist ideas. All the while we converse!
Some of the programmes such as Requiem will honour the casualties of war, while EUtopia will take us to new models of co-existence in Europe. We will have an opportunity to learn about engaged art through Resistance, and Dove will present Novi Sad as an example of European peace.
You can check out the programme book of the Fortress of Peace arch here, and the calendar of all events is available here.

DISCOVERING AND PRESERVING THE DANUBE
Presentation of cultural heritage and preservation of natural wealth one of the biggest rivers in Europe are the main idea of the programme arch. By connecting culture and ecology, the Danube Sea brings artistic programmes as a call to action for preservation and caring for the Danube, with a reference to cultural heritage of countries it flows through.
River Bank Pavilion and Harbours are the two big programmes that discover hidden Danube places, organise concerts along the river bank, introduce the history of the Danube region and present the symbol of Novi Sad in a different light.
You can check out the programme book of the Danube Sea arch here, and the calendar of all events is available here.
