In the light of the announcement of the Danube Sea programme arch, which will be held as part of the celebration of the title of European Capital of Culture from 22 July to 21 August 2022, a series of concerts called ‘The Blue Danube’ will be held in Novi Sad during the following ten weeks.
The concerts will be held on a catamaran that will depart every Thursday afternoon from Kamenička ada, and performed by the Life as Inspiration association. All music and Danube lovers can apply for the concerts via the Porodica avantura Facebook Page. The catamaran is planned to sail near the shore so that people on the beaches, as well as passers-by, can enjoy the performances.
The series of concerts will begin this Thursday, 8 July, with the performance of the TAKE TWO duo, which consists of Vuk Petrović on saxophone and Luka Petrović on piano.
Twenty-year-old Luka Petrović, a student at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, has won numerous national and international awards and, in addition to rich concert activities, is very intensely involved in chamber music and learning about vocal art through collaboration with several opera singers. Together with his brother Vuk, a student of the ‘Isidor Bajić’ High School of Music, he is part of the TAKE TWO ensemble, which performs programmes of classical and evergreen music, as well as jazz miniatures.
The complete programme of the concerts within ‘The Blue Danube’ summer festival will be available on the Porodica avantura website.
