On World Music Day and ahead of its 50th anniversary celebration, Novo Naselje in Novi Sad will become the stage for an open-air classical music concert, Korzo, on 21 June, in Bate Brkića Street. In order to ensure the safe organisation and execution of the event, a temporary traffic regulation will be introduced in the area.
A temporary traffic closure will apply to a section of Bate Brkića Street, from the intersection with Seljačkih Buna Street to the intersection with Dušana Danilovića Street. Temporary traffic regulation will also be in place at the access point from the parking area near house number 32. The temporary traffic measures will be in effect from Saturday, 20 June at 06:00 until Monday, 22 June at 12:00.
Vojvođanski simfonijski orkestar, which traditionally marks World Music Day, will perform alongside outstanding award-winning soloists: violinist Teofil Milenković, winner of more than forty national and international awards; cellist, soloist, chamber musician and educator Irena Josifoska; pianist, chamber musician, educator and composer Aleksandar Đermanović; and conductor Premil Petrović, a versatile artist who has collaborated with renowned orchestras and opera houses worldwide.
The audience will have the opportunity to hear works by one of the greatest composers in the world, Ludwig van Beethoven.
Korzo is an open-air classical music concert first held in 2018 and has since been part of Kaleidoscope of Culture for seven consecutive years, one of the largest arts festivals in this part of Europe. One of the most significant artistic and production undertakings in Novi Sad, it has already hosted major figures from the world of classical music, including violinists Stefan Milenković, Julian Rachlin, Robert Lakatoš, Lana Zorjan; pianists Peter Bence and Rita Kinka; and conductors Aleksandar Marković, Maximilian Haberstock, Srboljub Dinić, Mikica Jevtić, and Aleksandar Kojić.
The concert starts at 20:30. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
