The European project ‘O-City’, which includes universities, business schools and incubators in Italy, Spain, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia in cooperation with partners from Colombia, has created a platform entitled ‘Orange Planet’ with the aim to promote the creative economy model, the so-called orange economy.
It is this platform, for cities and regions, that represents a strategic investment in culture and creativity, especially in the context of the pandemic and its impacts, in order to encourage growth strategies and new economic, cultural and social paradigms.
It is dedicated to universities that wish to bring artists, creative workers, digital technology experts, video creators, photographers and other professionals from the cultural and creative industries as guests to their lectures to teach students skills in digital technology, art and entrepreneurship.
Cultural and creative industries are the best investment in the future of the region since they are directly linked to local communities and help to rethink the economy in the context of sustainability. In addition to this, these industries are accelerating the process of digitisation and re-marketing of national and international products and services, creating new jobs and new opportunities for young people. You can find more information on the website.
All interested in joining the platform can do so by the end of 2021, as well as get informed via international@ns2021.rs. ‘Novi Sad 2022 – European Capital of Culture’ is the partner in the ‘Orange: Creativity, Innovation & Technology’ project funded by the EU fund Erasmus +.
