Korzo Comes to Novo Naselje on World Music Day
10/06/2026

On World Music Day, and as Novo Naselje approaches the celebration of its half-century anniversary, this Novi Sad neighbourhood will become the stage for Korzo, an open-air classical music concert. For seven years, the event attracted large audiences on one of the city’s main boulevards in the centre of Novi Sad. This year, on 21 June at 8:30 PM, Korzo moves to Bate Brkića Street, the very place where the first residential buildings of one of the city’s largest neighbourhoods were built nearly 50 years ago.

The Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, which traditionally marks World Music Day with a special performance, will appear alongside outstanding award-winning soloists: violinist Teofil Milenković, winner of more than forty national and international awards; acclaimed cellist, soloist, chamber musician and educator Irena Josifoska; pianist, chamber musician, educator and composer Aleksandar Đermanović; under the baton of versatile conductor Premil Petrović, who has collaborated with renowned orchestras and opera houses around the world.

The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy works by one of the greatest composers in history, Ludwig van Beethoven.

Korzo is an open-air classical music concert first held in 2018. Over the following seven years, it became an integral part of Kaleidoscope of Culture, one of the largest artistic events in this part of Europe. As one of Novi Sad’s most ambitious artistic and production projects, Korzo has already welcomed distinguished names from the world of classical music, including violinists Stefan Milenković, Julian Rachlin, Robert Lakatoš and Lana Zorjan; pianists Peter Bence and Rita Kinka; and conductors Aleksandar Marković, Maximilian Haberstock, Srboljub Dinić, Mikica Jevtić and Aleksandar Kojić.

Admission is free, but seating capacity is limited.
