Programme in the District
In addition to the aforementioned permanent exhibition on the history of the District and concerts at SCCNS Fabrika, the Novi Sad cultural district offers more interesting events, so we invite you once again to visit it. The Union of Collective Art Practice (SKUP) has opened its doors to the public in the District, in the premises of Atelje 61, and a rich programme awaits you every week, which we suggest you follow on the Visit District website, where we regularly publish an overview of weekly events.
Novi Sad for the Youngest
Zmaj Children Games are an indispensable joy for little ones during June, and this year we are expecting a rich artistic programme for the youngest from 3 to 9 June at different locations in the city. In honor of the famous Serbian children’s poet and doctor, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, whose monument adorns the beginning of the street that bears his name in the city centre, this year an event dedicated to children will be held for the 67th time. Weekends in Novi Sad are reserved for the youngest, so you can start your Saturday morning at the Bulevar Books bookstore with Čitanjac, where the youngest can enjoy unforgettable stories from 11 o’clock. At the same time, Gallery of Matica Srpska revives the imagination through creative workshops for children aged 5 to 10 years. On Sundays, Zenit’s children’s club in the Zenit café-bookstore opens its doors to your family. While you enjoy your favourite coffee, children can have fun in various activities that also start at 11 a.m.
Novi Sad Bazaars
We cannot imagine June in Novi Sad without the great bazaars that we are used to, so on the first day of the month, Fenseraj Ukusa is waiting for us on the delicious Liman market and on 8 June at the Detelinara market, from 6 p.m. The traditional Night Bazaar will once again turn the Fish Market into a lavish oasis of creativity, culinary delights and supreme music. Don’t miss this unforgettable event on 7 June from 6 p.m., as well as the Start up Night Bazaar on 21 June from 6 p.m. at the same location. Come, try local products from small entrepreneurs and discover the magic of Novi Sad bazaars!
Taste of Wine
Novi Sad’s Liberty Square becomes an oasis of hedonism for all lovers of wine and gourmet specialties. At the 21st Interfest, which will be held in the Liberty Square from 20 to 22 June, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy more than 100 wineries and producers of delicacies. With an excellent music programme, this will be another festival that the people of Novi Sad and visitors to the city adore. Cheers!
Night Marathon
Test your limits and sign up for the jubilee 15th Novi Sad Night Marathon, which will be held at Sunny Quay on 22 June (near the FC Indeks football field). The start is at 8 p.m., and you can read about the disciplines and registration methods on the Night Marathon website. Let’s run!
