South Specific Festival, implemented as part of the České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028 programme, has launched an international open call for new immersive and site-specific projects in the fields of live arts and audiovisual creation. The call is open to professional artists and artistic teams from around the world, with selected projects to be presented at the 2028 edition of the festival in specific and unconventional locations across the South Bohemian region. The application deadline is 26 February 2026.

Eligible applicants include professional artistic teams or individuals working in the fields of theatre, dance, music, new circus, performing arts, audiovisual art, visual installations, happenings, new technologies, or performance art.
