Within the FEMINICITY project – a network of cities for women’s participation in the creation of public policies, the performance “Broken Rib” was successfully staged at the Maribor Cultural Centre on two occasions: on Thursday, 5 March 2026, and on Saturday, 7 March 2026, at 17:30.
The performance, which addresses the relationship between misogynistic stereotypes and femicide, was created through a collaborative creative process involving an international artistic team in cooperation with a local group of more than 20 women of different generations, educational backgrounds, and professions, who also perform in the production.
The staging in Maribor is part of an international tour and cooperation between cities involved in the FEMINICITY project, implemented through the European Union’s CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) programme.
