Presentation of Theo Prodromidis – First Resident of the Foundation in 2018
21/02/2018

On Tuesday, 20 February at 18h, Greek artist Theo Prodromidis, our first resident in 2018, will have a presentation in the Cinema Room of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina.

Theo Prodromidis is an award-winning artist whose multimedia practice and works include film, installations, performance, contemporary operations in architecture, philosophical discourse, avant-garde and designing theatre techniques.

Within the cooperation between the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina and ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation in the RISK CHANGE project financed by the Creative Europe, Mr Prodromidis will present selection of his work and research he is conducting in Novi Sad, which is dedicated to non-formal education, mobility, citizenship and analysis of the dynamics and synagonism of pairs and groups. The goal of the Risk Change project is to produce concrete results: artistic residences, new/innovative models, conferences, symposiums, workshops, open laboratories, exhibitions, study trips, web platform, mobile application, new cultural networks, publications, etc. In its core, the project explores social-political pressures that are caused by movement of people, changing the place of residence, migrations, exile, etc. through interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches.

‘Plants AiR’ residential programme of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation aims at increasing mobility of artists and cultural workers: both local ones who travel to other European Capitals of Culture, and foreign artists and cultural workers who present their creative work in Novi Sad. Theo Prodromidis will spend two weeks in Novi Sad, and on Tuesday 20 February he wishes to exchange ideas and emotions with people from Novi Sad.
