11/06/2019

The walk ‘Growing up in the Orchestra Pit of the Opera of the Serbian National Theatre’ will give the citizens of Novi Sad the chance to take a glimpse at the theatre wardrobe and orchestra pit of the oldest theatre in the country, and the guide will be Boško Buta, one of the prominent artists of the former Yugoslavia, poet, producer and former professor of the Academy of Arts.

Within walks, he will talk about his childhood he spent in the Serbian National Theatre, the music life of Novi Sad and its changes, city’s bohemians and places they liked to visit the most, as well as the oldest city core, where famous people gathered.

The walk starts in front of the Studio M, at 5 p.m.

This will be one of the three walks that are part of the ‘Tell Me a Story’ project, which are organised with the aim to show the importance of an individual in the creation of cultural image of the city, preservation of cultural heritage and use of the potential of Novi Sad in the best possible way.

The ‘Tell Me a Story’ project is implemented by the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation and ‘AMFITEATARNS’ Association.
