First meeting within the European Outdoor Arts Academy project: School of Participation, within which, the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ is one of the lead partners, was held in Rijeka.
First ‘School of Participation’ will be held on 29 November in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), this year’s European Capital of Culture, and it will tackle their current programmes, while the School will be organised at the end of 2020 or early 2021, which was concluded during the meeting. The representatives of the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ participated in the meeting.
Schools of Participation will be organised in Graz (Austria) and Coventry (UK).
European Outdoor Arts Academy will implement five ‘Schools of participation’ trainings in schools of production, which will be presented in five partner cities from 2019 until 2020. Each school will gather 26 active creative professionals from ten partner cities in nine European countries, in order to learn new skills and gain experience in co-creating in the event of participatory art in the open.
The main partner in the project is the Walk the Plank organisation from the UK, and the total amount of the budget is EUR 325,500, while the budget dedicated to the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ is EUR 35,357. Other partners in the project are the following organisations: uniT (Austria), Kaunas 2022 (Lithuania), while associate partners are: Limerick (Ireland), Institute for Contemporary Art (Armenia), Tartu (Estonia), Veszprém 2023 (Hungary).
