Two calls that refer to artistic residences in Japan remain open to all interested artists.
The decision followed an agreement between the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation and the EU Japan Fest who jointly implement the residences financed by the ‘EU Japan Fest’.

The application deadline for the ‘European Eyes on Japan/Japan Today’ call in the field of contemporary photography, which was opened in early February, has been extended to 3 April 2020 until midnight.

The selected artist will get a chance to reside in Japanese prefectures Osaka and Nagano between July 2020 and May 2021 in duration of 20 to 25 days and present his/her own perception of Japanese culture through photography.

The ‘Kizuna’ programme of artist exchange between Serbia and Japan still remains open to local artists with the aim to encourage mobility of members of Novi Sad cultural scene and to establish cooperation with Japanese cultural organisations and artists.
The ‘Kizuna’ exchange programme was opened in continuity, throughout a year, and has four application deadlines.

The second deadline for applications is 30 April 2020.

The ‘Kizuna’ exchange programme provides local artists and cultural workers with an opportunity to travel to Japan and contribute to the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ programme through study and research work.
