Mr Gianluca Barbadori, director, actor, lecturer and pedagogue, held a series of workshops with MA students of Applied Theatre of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and students of youth drama studio in the Centre for Theatre Research within the ‘Artists in Residence’ (Plants AiR) programme.
They used different exercises in order to improve knowledge, discover space, exercise observation etc.
Exchange of knowledge and experience between artists is of great importance during such workshops, which is the main goal of the ‘Plants AiR’ programme of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation.
This world famous artist and expert in the field of theatre directed around 110 plays in Chinese, English, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Serbian and Spanish. Besides his enormous talent, Mr Gianluca shows the great desire to transfer his knowledge to young artists through his work, and his specific way of communication with the world is oriented towards young people who are marginalised and exposed to poor living conditions. Theatre skills that he uses emphasise his need to raise human consciousness at higher level.
