The exhibition of photographs showing how the high school students, members of the Bunjevci, Vlach, Roma, Ruthenian, Serbian and Czech communities see the heritage, and which is being implemented within the ‘Cultural Heritage through My Lens’ project of the Institute for Culture of Ruthenians in Vojvodina, will be opened in the exhibition space of OPENS (Laze Telečkog Street no. 2) on Monday, 18 April at 6 p.m.
The project is aimed at forming personal identity of the young and preserving their cultural heritage, and it was launched through the ‘Audience in Focus’ public call of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation.
It started last year when high school students participated in social workshops on identity in multinational environment.
On this occasion, they visited the most important architectural buildings in Novi Sad, which show the multicultural life of the European Capital of Culture 2021, and participated in photography workshops as well.
At the same time, the ‘Cultural Heritage through My Lens’ project was launched with the wish to build proactive relationship between the young and institutions of culture through participation in the contents of these institutions, which can substantially contribute to the development of young creative forces and future audience. The results of the project could be seen on the exhibitions in Kučevo, Bela Crkva, Subotica and Novi Sad.
The exhibition was prepared by Boris Kočiš, renowned photographer and co-worker of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
