Serbian Prime Minister supports the candidacy of Novi Sad for European Capital of Culture 2021

Serbian Government and its Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vučić, have supported candidacy of Novi Sad for European Capital of Culture in 2021.
 
At the meeting held with Novi Sad Mayor, Mr. Miloš Vučević, and representatives of EXIT Festival, who are involved in the promotion of ECOC 2021, the Prime Minister has emphasized the importance of the projects focused on development of tourism, culture and hiring young people in Serbia.
 
„We want in any possible way to help promoting culture in our country, and in that manner use creativity and energy of young people who can contribute.
 
That is why the Government will financially and in all other ways help Novi Sad candidacy for ECOC 2021 and EXIT Festival, as important segment of cultural and youth policy of the city of Novi Sad“, said the Prime Minister.
 
The Mayor, Mr. Vučević, pointed the importance of the Government support, and that the team working on the candidacy and promotion will use that support in the best possible way.
 
This is the first official support of the Serbian Government to the Novi Sad candidacy for ECOC 2021.
