Stanislav Drča from the LAB Cultural Centre, Milana Kvas from the Memorial Collection of Pavle Beljanski, Katarina Dajč from the ‘Scenatoria’ Association and Ivana Perić from the Students of Comparative Studies Club are chosen for the ‘Tandem Cultural Capitals’ international programme.

They will have the opportunity to design and implement European dimension projects together with their partner from some of the six European Capitals of Culture, which also participate in the programme. Partners will be designated at the ‘Tandem Partnership Forum’ in Rijeka from 10 until 14 July, when all selected candidates will be introduced to each other and discuss the ways of networking and the cultural scene of the European Capitals of Culture.

Afterwards, the Tandem partners will choose a few days when they will host each other in their city, that is, the European Capital of Culture, in order to meet again in Leeuwarden from 19 until 22 November and present the results of the visit, as well as the ideas for new, joint projects.

Business improvement, connecting with other colleagues, new ideas and launching joint cultural and art projects, are some of the ideas of the Tandem Cultural Capitals programme, a partnership project of seven former or future European Capitals of Culture, Leeuwarden (The Netherlands), Galway (Ireland), Rijeka (Croatia), Eleusis (Greece), Kaunas (Lithuania), Veszprem (Hungary) and Novi Sad (Serbia), within which the local project partner is the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation.

Since 2011, the ‘Tandem Cultural Capitals’ programme offers cultural contents, ideas and opportunities for cross-border cooperation in European cultural projects, and around 350 European cultural managers work together on cultural and artistic projects within the programme.
