‘We Change Places’ is the topic of the next Divan of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation which takes place in the Community Bar of the Startit Centre on 22 March at 6 p.m.
The reason for this discussion is presentation of good practices in Serbia and abroad that demonstrate how active and persistent people that come together can affect the transformation of public spaces.
This practice has become part of the activities of capitals of culture, because it is clear that citizens can transform places where they live. Urban development managed by citizens according to principles of participative decision-making has become a new ideal for citizens that are open, inclusive, sustainable and pleasant for life. These cities promote cooperation and gathering of citizens instead of individualism and mutual competition, which promotes equality in the approach to urban resources.
