European Outdoor Arts Academy: School of Participation project, with the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ project as one of the partners, received funds for its implementation via ‘European Projects of Cooperation 2019’ public call.
The public call launched in October 2018 within the Creative Europe programme aims to strengthen the European cultural and creative sectors in order to operate transnationally, to provide stronger contribution to audience development through innovative ways, as well as to improve the accessibility of cultural programmes and content.
European Outdoor Arts Academy: School of Participation project includes the organisation of workshops for the implementation of participatory public appearances for creative workers in open spaces. Each workshop will result in a small public appearance in accordance with local characteristics. Workshop participants will learn principles of participatory methodology that can be used in their work.
The leading partner on this project is the Walk the Plank organisation from UK, and the total budget is EUR 325,500, while the budget for ‘Novi Sad 2021’ is EUR 35,357. Other partners in the project are: Walk the Plank (UK), uniT (Austria), Plovdiv 2019 (Bulgaria), Kaunas 2022 (Lithuania), Coventry 2021 (UK), while associated partners are: Limerick (Ireland), Institute for Contemporary Art (Armenia), Tartu (Estonia), Veszprém 2023 (Hungary).
Within the ‘European Project of Cooperation’ call, Creative Europe supports international projects of cooperation that involve several organisations from different countries in order to improve promotion, creativity and innovation of European culture.
