Heritage Walks: The Assembly of Vojvodina and Rabbit Museum

Take a glimpse at the Assembly of Vojvodina and find out why it is important heritage of modernism, within the third Walk through the Assembly, scheduled for 8 July at 4 p.m.

During the professional guidance, visitors will have a chance to see the premises of the Assembly followed by the story about the history of its architecture and find out why it was one of the most modern buildings in the period when it was built.

The first two Walks through the Assembly of Vojvodina were held at the end of May and beginning of June within the ‘Future of Europe’ programme platform launched by the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’, and the plan is to organise regular walks from September.

Walks through the Rabbit Museum

Heritage walks through the Rabbit Museum will comprise a short introduction to the history of the part of Petrovaradin where the Rabbit Museum is located (Koste Nađa Street no. 30), museum visit and presentation of the collection, a tasting of rabbit wine and cookies, lectures about the importance of private collections and tourist possibilities of private museum. The walks will be organised on 20 and 27 July from 5 until 7 p.m. The entrance is free.

The Rabbit Museum is the artistic project by Nikola Džafo and he has been working on it for almost two decades, with the aim to create private museum, which, according to the Law, is still not possible to establish. The collection consists of around two thousand pieces, and only part of it will be exhibited.

The exhibition itself covers the topics of art, development of ecological awareness, social engagement, which points out all flaws and illnesses of a society.
