New, different and interesting stories about Novi Sad, those that we have not heard yet, but are part of the heritage, or are going to be, will be told in the Courtyard on Saturday, 1 June. All nature lovers will have a chance to enjoy the third ‘walk’ within the ‘Do You Remember that Courtyard’ project of the ‘Eco Flame’ association, which was financed by the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation through the ‘Heritage Walks’ public call. 
During the flowering of the linden, this Saturday, 1 June at 2 p.m., the visitors will have the opportunity to hear about the Courtyard and its beauties, as well as the possibilities of future investments in the development of natural monuments. 
The first ‘walk’, which was accompanied by pupils of the ‘23. Oktobar’ Primary School, was organised at the time of cherry plum blooming, while the second was scheduled at the time of paulownia blooming. The importance of this project is both for the renewal of this nature monument and for education of young people.

On Monday, 3 June enjoy the ‘Movement for Urban Gardens of Novi Sad’ walk

If you are interested in hearing the stories about Satelit, the oldest workers’ neighbourhood, if you want to listen stories about Detelinara, where vegetables and fruit were planted 15 years ago, and now there are tall buildings, be in front of the Satelit Market on Monday, 3 June at 10 a.m. and start this walk implemented by the ‘Creative Industry – Viridis’ association. 
On this occasion the citizens will have a chance to learn about heritage of this city part, along with stories of our citizens about garden communities in certain city locations. Also, older citizens will evoke memories and share part of the history that has not been recorded earlier before. 
The aim of this ‘walk’ is to revive the history of public green areas in Novi Sad that were once used by the principles of urban gardening. This walk will interpret the lifestyle before multi-story buildings and population growth, and connect the past with the future of Novi Sad – a sustainable city.

The main objective of the ‘Heritage Walks’ call is to encourage citizens to become involved in preservation of cultural heritage through contemporary ways of interpreting personal memories and experiences.
Within the second phase of the ‘Heritage Walks’ project, from 28 January, when the competition was opened, until 21 February, when it was closed, 32 applications were received, and 11 projects of Novi Sad Associations were selected, which will have the opportunity to tell a story about parts of the city that are especially important as well as to contribute to the discovery of new secrets of our city.
