Street dance is part of the urban culture of the western world that has become recognizable in the seventies and today it makes a part of the culture of Novi Sad. On Saturday 5 September, at 6 p.m. the audience that came to the City Library could see the way this dance developed in styles.

Before a large rain started pouring, young dancers from three dance studios from Novi Sad ‘Groove’, ‘Magic People’ and ‘Professional’ presented the following dance styles: hip hop, house dance, popping, dancehall, break dance and voguing to the enthusiastic audience who enjoyed in their acrobatics and choreography.

This kind of dance performance was organised within the promotion of the candidacy of Novi Sad for the European Capital of Culture which includes promotion of culture in the broadest sense of the word – as a lifestyle.
