On Sunday, 12 July, classical fairytale about Little Red Riding Hood, just like our grandmas used to tell, came to life in places where children like to spend time – at playgrounds!

Within the candidacy of the City of Novi Sad for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2021, more than 400 children from Novi Sad enjoyed the show at playgrounds in Novo Nadelje, Železnički Park and Limanski Park. Some even came to see it twice!

‘There should me more initiatives like this. Children need to be exposed to cultural content. It is nice to have these event at playgrounds, because not all of us can afford to come to the centre’ said one of the mothers.

Excitement expressed by around 150 children, who watched the play in Limanski Park, showed that there is a need to bring this sort of cultural content to the youngest audience, which is one of the goals of the candidacy.
