Catchy rhythms that move the audience – this is how the Mongooz and the Magnet band describe their music. They will perform at the Exit Festival on 5 July within the cooperation between the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ and Pécs, which was the European Capital of Culture in 2010.

The three-member band performance from Pécs represents the continuation of cooperation between the two cities, which was based on exchange of artists and cultural workers. This year is special for one more reason – the celebration of the 10th anniversary of becoming twin cities.

Mongooz and the Magnet is specific for many reasons, and one of them is multiculturalism since its members come from three different countries – Hungary, Ireland and Norway. ‘Three nationalities have found common language, and that is music’, said the members to the media.

They started their career five years ago and it is hard to categorise them into one music genre since they mix different styles such as rock, blues, jazz, pop, and as they pointed themselves, they were inspired by famous names – Eric Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Charles Bradley, as well as their peers – John Mayer, Paolo Nutini, etc.
