The ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation supports this year’s 4th ‘Guitar Festival of Vojvodina – Kisač’ that will be held from 29 June until 1 July in Kisač.

‘Guitar Festival of Vojvodina – Kisač’ is the manifestation initiated in order to revive, after 40 years, the first official guitar festival in Vojvodina which was held in 1974 and 1975.  The aim of this manifestation is creating a new cultural event on the territory of the city of Novi Sad in Kisač that will contribute to development of the multiculturality and tolerance, promote rock music and culture and promote young rock bands.

The festival is partly competitive, and partly non-competitive. Demo bands who have passed expert jury selection after two months and who will compete on the stage in Kisač are: ‘Bez Rikverca’, ‘Fet Red’, ‘Framework’, ‘Hazel’, ‘Centipedes’, ‘Loud’, ‘Saki vois’, ‘Retorika’, ‘Nemir’, ‘Huti ota tre’.

In the non-competitive part of the ‘Guitar Festival of Vojvodina – Kisač’ will feature some of the most important names of local rock music scene: The overture for the ‘Van Gog’ group will be the ‘Ahtung bend’ from Novi Sad on 29 June. The audience will have a chance to hear ‘Riblja čorba’, ‘Elvis. DŽ. Kurtović’ and the ‘Apricot brew’ band on Saturday, 30 June.

The third day of the festival will be dedicated to the promotion of multiculturality i.e. performances of the rock bands from Vojvodina. Slovakian rock bands that will perform: ‘Usamljeni mladići’, ‘Vulkan’, ‘Trag’, ‘Stari grad’ and ‘Southlanders’.

The festival is organised by the city of Novi Sad, as in the previous years, the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation is the partner, and Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities supports the festival.
