Do you know what you will do and where you will be in 2021? What will happen in Novi Sad that year and why it will be the centre of culture in Europe and the destination you should definitely visit? Who stands behind the preparation of Novi Sad for 2021 and what does the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ project mean?
Answers to these questions and many others, you will have a chance to hear within the OPENS Youth Fair, the regional fair of youth tourism that will be held on 2 and 3 July. The ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ project will have its programme at the fair this year.
The ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation will open its doors in the ‘Apolo’ business centre (Liberty Square no. 3) in order to present its activities, inform our citizens and hear their suggestions. The two-day programme will start at 6 p.m. and all the activities are free. You can expect bicycle riding, good music and interesting ‘forecasting future’ performance.
Virtual travel through the city
Visitors will have the opportunity to take a virtual bicycle ride, see the old city core and get acquainted with its sights and cultural heritage. The ‘ride’ starts from the Mileva Marić-Einstein house, through the city centre, along the Quay and all the way to the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress.
Virtual ‘walk’ that will be organised in the premises of the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation will show the future Creative Polis, what it will include and the reasons to visit it in 2021.
How much do we know about the European Capital of Culture?
How much are we familiar with the ‘Novi sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ project? What are the ways to participate in creation of cultural content? What activities have been implemented so far and what else has to be done in order to be ready for the title year?
Those and many other questions will be answered by the volunteers, but everyone can participate in the quiz that will deal with the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ project. Those with the best quiz results can expect valuable prizes.
The quiz does not require any pre-knowledge, but the goal is to learn more about the ECoC 2021 project, people who work on the project and activities that are important for all the citizens of Novi Sad.
Would you like to know what you will be doing in 2021?
At least once in our lifetime we wanted to know what we can expect in the future. This can be forecast by an interesting performance that will give you a hint on where you will be in 2021. The performance ‘Would you like to know what you will be doing in 2021?’ will be implemented by Sonja Leštar, an actress, and you can find out your future foreseeing for two years ahead, at least when it comes to cultural events and manifestations.
The ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ team will also organise a music programme in their premises that will happen on 2 and 3 July.
