The ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation and European Affairs Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina organised three-day training ‘Possibilities for Financing from EU Funds’ for workers of cultural institutions from the territory of the City of Novi Sad and Zone 021 – Irig, Beočin and Sremski Karlovci.
The main goal of the training, held on 21, 22 and 23 March in the Hall 1 of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, was to train participants to independently formulate project proposals for the EU funds, and to teach them to strategically position their project proposals within the framework of defined priorities and measures, as well as financial limits. During the training, participants developed skills they need to take active roles in development and implementation of projects at local and regional levels.
The training is the result of joint work of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation and European Affairs Fund, based on the cooperation agreement that these two organisations signed in December 2017. The ‘Out of the Comfort Zone’, which was initiated with the workshop ‘Audience in Focus’ in November last year, continues with the training that will increase possibilities of cultural institutions from the territory of Novi Sad to use funding from the EU.
The training process in the first stage is focused on cultural workers in institutions that are founded by the Republic of Serbia, Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and City of Novi Sad. In the following period, the education will be organised for other stakeholders in cultural and creative industries.
