Member of the team Novi Sad 2021, Vuk Radulović, met with representatives of Rijeka 2020, the Croatian candidate for the European Capital of Culture in 2020. On that occasion, the citizens of Rijeka presented the project „Port of diversity“, with which they compete for the prestigious European title, together with other three Croatian towns -Osijek, Pula and Dubrovnik. Hosts were presented the basic concept of the project Novi Sad 2021, by which Novi Sad entered the finals of the competition for the European Capital of Culture in December 2015.

This was also an opportunity to once again express the importance of international cultural exchanges, highlight the uniqueness of regional cooperation, but also an opportunity for the exchange of experiences between representatives of the two projects. During the meeting they expressed a mutual desire for cooperation between Rijeka and Novi Sad on this project. Rijeka is another city with which we have established cooperation in the process of preparing our city for European Capital of Culture 2021. Until now, thanks to the activities of the organizing team, we have established contacts with 35 cities from 19 countries.
