Tickets for the concert of Divna Ljubojević, which will be held on 13 January in the Hall of the NIS building in Novi Sad, were sold out at record speed. For the celebration of the year 7526, we will have an opportunity to enjoy the angelic voice of Divna Ljubojević, woman who has been singing spiritual Orthodox music for more than 26 years. Always smiling, with an open heart and soul that pour vibrations and colours that give her performance a unique specific quality, Divna will perform at the completely unexpected location of the business building of the NIS gas and oil company, which will make the atmosphere extraordinary. Spiritual music is by itself special and already defined, but with Divna Ljubojević has given it a new dimension and new characteristics.
The limited number of promotional tickets for the celebration of the year 7526 for remaining locations are available in the Gigs Tix ticket offices. It is expected that tickets for other programmes will be sold out soon. In cooperation with Sterijino Pozorje festival, in the Gigs Tix ticket office in Pariski Magazin in Novi Sad, each 21st buyer of tickets for the upcoming concerts will get a book published by the Sterijino Pozorje. Many of the events during the celebration will be free and open for the audience, while the list of all events, as well as ticket prices for individual events can be found at the website and Facebook page of the Novi Sad 2021 project.
As an overture for 2021, when Novi Sad will be European Capital of Culture, the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation starts building capacities for two New Year’s Eve celebrations, as future Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the year of the title. Represented through the difference in measuring time, as well as two calendars – Gregorian and Julian, these two programme concepts will also be different. While the celebration of the year 2018 was attended by more than 50,000 people in the city centre, on 13 January we will celebrate the year 7526 at more than 21 locations in Novi Sad.
These locations include cultural, administrative, business and educational buildings, as well as catering facilities, while the performers of various genres will perform at completely unexpected locations. The bridges that will connect conceptually different performers, genres and spaces feature traditional music of a true virtuoso Slobodan Trkulja as a special guest of Ímar band from Scotland on the ‘Pera Dobrnović’ stage of the Serbian National Theatre, spiritual music of Divna Ljubojević in the Great Hall of the NIS building, Laibach on the ‘Jovan Đorđević’ stage of the Serbian National Theatre, the famous regional star Kaliopi in the Youth Theatre, two renowned jazz artists from the region Matija Dedić and Zoran Predin in Novi Sad Synagogue, the incredible combination of tamburitza bands from Osijek and Novi Sad featuring Dušan Svilar in Studio M, circus Cabaret Bre performed by the Cirkoneo association in the West Hall of the SPENS, while the future Youth Creative Polis, the so-called Chinese Quarter will host programmes on four locations for fans of techno sound and rap music, when Paul Rich from France, Lag and Klaus will perform in Fabrika, and Necone, Friday Swag, Janchezz, Rasheed and Yeah Left in the Quarter, and Netix, Codex and Senzorr in the Firchie Think Tank Studio. Nikola Vranjković will perform in the Novi Sad Theatre / Újvidéki Színház, Marčelo & Napeti Quintet/ Mutant Urban Dance Ensemble arrive to Gerila Bar, and the Icy Forest will host a Disco Night.
Great number of programmes will be free for audience, such as Youth Philharmonic Orchestra in the Synagogue, children’s opera by the ‘Visoko C’ association in Egység, and performances of different cultural-artistic associations from the Zone 021 in the hall of the Railway Station. The entrance is free for the performance of Sara Renar and Ana Ćurčin in the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad, concert of Josip A Lisac and Dojo in B612 club. ‘Laza Kostić’ grammar school hosts Loran Prokopić and friends, the Museum of Vojvodina will host ‘Sveti Stefan Dečanski’ choir, while the Startit centre will host Peaceful Warriors. The Studio M will host pop/rock concert of Novi Sad music schools, Futog Cultural Centre will feature Anatolii Rechkin and Aleksander Lukashevich, while the Gallery of Matica Srpska organises virtual tour – experience art with experimental sounds of ‘Bloom’ band.
