What is techno-shamanism?

Adelin Schweizer, a multimedia artist, will discover it within his VR walks this weekend, on 16 and 17 November.

The interactive performance requires the audience’ participation and it lasts around 50 minutes and around 5 persons can participate in each walk.  It is envisaged as the road participants need to take, while HE is guiding them, and the TARGET is following them.  Participants have to show up at a certain place and time. The assistant, who will give them basic instructions and guide them towards the TARGET, will be waiting for them. They will have the necessary equipment – VR glasses and headphones, which will become their artificial sensory organs.

There are three time slots left on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Time slots for Sunday are the following:

– 10 a.m.

– 11:15 a.m.

– 2 p.m.

– 3:15 p.m.

Meeting point is the Startit Centre (Miroslava Antića Street no. 2).

The performance is part of the #ALPHALOOP project implemented by Adelin Schweizer and Karkatag art collective.

#ALPHALOOP is the project that deals with the topic of sacred through the aspect of techno-shamanism practices, which strive to present that there is no clear duality between nature and technology, since there is no structural difference between the computer and ‘natural’ manifestations of reality.

The residency is being held within the Novembre Numérique programme, and is supported by the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ project and Eunic Air programme.
