On its journey to the title, the project Novi Sad 2021 has signed an agreement with another partner. After the letter of support form the twin town Norwich, agreement with Osijek, support from the German city of Ulm, we can boast cooperation with Timișoara.

The member of the City Council in charge of culture, Mr Vanja Vučenović, and Executive Director of the project Timișoara 2021, Ms Simona Neumann, have signed the agreement on cooperation between the two cities on the project European Capital of Culture. Both cities bid for the same year. Novi Sad bids as the city from a candidate country, and Timișoara as a representative from Romania. This cooperation is important, because one of the conditions from the application is cooperation between the cities that hold the title in the same year.

In light of this cooperation, representatives of the Organisation Board, Siniša Jokić and Dušanka Manić, attended the 3rd Danube Conference on Culture, which was organised in Timișoara in the period 24-26 June. On that occasion they met with Ms Neumann and discussed possible joint projects.
