The presentation of the ‘Photography as a Method of Visual Research’ project and opening of the exhibition of the same name by the students from the Department of Fine Arts of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad will be held in the Svilara Cultural Station on 11 May at 7 p.m.
The exhibition will be opened until 15 May.
The ‘Photography as a Method of Visual Research’ project gathered experts in the field on social and humanistic sciences, who worked together on the ‘Interdisciplinary Publication about Photography’ with twelve original scientific works in English, published by the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. The Publication was created as a result of connections established between universities, photography centres, film archives and fashion associations in world and in our country, and the aim of the Publication and students’ exhibition was to show the power of photography as the artistic media.
How does photography communicate with viewers through architecture, philosophy, film, history of art and fashion? How does it influence on our perception of the past?
The students of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad responded to questions and challenges posed in the Publication.
The exhibition included works of Ivana Čavić, Tijana Jevrić, Mila Pejić, Milica Jokić, Sara Kecman, Helena Soldat, Ognjen Tadić, Darko Sretić and Vladimir Janić.
