The ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation has launched a call for visual artists within the ’Plants AiR’ exchange programme in March this year, when Ognjen Tadić, student of photography at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, was chosen. The residence takes place in Košice, and Ognjen will stay in Slovakia for two months. 
According to his words, he plans to explore Slovenian culture, mentality and humour, thus to present what he has experienced in that country in a specific way, through photography. He thinks that the ‘Plants AiR’ programme is a great opportunity for young people to create and cooperate with colleagues from other countries.
‘I think this is a phenomenal opportunity for us, students, because this programme allows us absolutely everything. I have all the freedom to create and thus develop in every way. This is my chance to give the best and to meet new people’, said Ognjen. 
The idea of the ‘Plants AiR’ programme of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation is to enable and foster mobility of local artists, as well as networking and exchange of experience through cooperation with other artists and European organisations. 
During last year, 21 residences were implemented – 15 artists stayed in Novi Sad within this programme, while six artists from Novi Sad were exchanged in some of the European organisations. This year, it is planned that 22 artists implement their projects in Novi Sad or abroad within the ‘Plants AiR’ programme.
The residence was implemented in cooperation with the KAIR organisation from Košice, and supported by the Slovak Art Council.
