In recently conducted survey for the name of the new bridge in Novi Sad, which was initiated on the website gradnja.rs, the biggest number of votes went to the ‘Hope Bridge’ – suggestion of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation.

This result is confirmation that, in addition to cultural institutions and numerous organisations, the initiative of the Foundation also has support from citizens of Novi Sad.

The name ‘Hope Bridge’ stems from civil and spiritual values of modern Europe to which Novi Sad strives. In addition to the fact that it suits the new bridge, the results show that it is also the first choice of the citizens of Novi Sad with 13.6% of votes.

The initiative to name the new bridge ‘Hope Bridge’ comes from the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation, which created the concept of the European Capital of Culture on four bridges (values).

This initiative is supported by the Novi Sad Theatre – Újvidéki Szinház, Historical Archives, City Library, Gallery of Matica Srpska, Cultural Centre of Novi Sad, Tourist Organisation of Novi Sad, American Corner, ‘Milan Petrović’ school for special education of children and adults, Association of Architects of Novi Sad, ‘Environment Engineering Group’ association, Musical Youth of Novi Sad, Bel Art Gallery, ‘Visoko C’ association, ‘Kuća Čuvarkuća’, ‘Strada’, ‘Novo Kulturno Naselje’, EXIT team, and many others.
