Another Divan of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation was held in the Egység cultural station on Tuesday, 6 November. It was dedicated to the topic of ‘Mobility of Artists and Cultural Workers’.
Questions about the importance of mobility programmes and artistic residences for career were discussed, as well as organisation of cooperation between partner organisations during residential programmes.
Ms Anamarija Ranković, Director at Institute for Culture of Ruthenians in Vojvodina, the first cultural worker from Novi Sad who attended trainings in Poland within the ‘Out of the Comfort Zone’ project of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation with the aim to support the mobility of artists and cultural workers, shared her impressions with audience. Ms Stanislava Jovanović, curator from the Gallery of Matica Srpska, joined the discussion. She returned from Krems (Austria) with overwhelming impressions, where she saw the way Kunstmeile organisation works – umbrella organisation of the museum, artistic spaces and programmes in Krems.
The following speakers will discuss residential progammes for artists and cultural workers: Zuzana Kotiková, coordinator of the KAIR programme (Košice Artist in Residence) and Andrea Kalinová, visual artist – photographer from Slovakia who is currently in Novi Sad within the ‘Plants AiR’ residential programme (тhe residency was supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council).
The ‘Out of the Comfort Zone’ project is the first call organised in Novi Sad that promotes mobility of cultural workers and it is the part of a broader strategy of internationalisation of cultural scene carried out by the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation. The aims of the ‘Out of the Comfort Zone’ project within which the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation supported 13 managers who work in public cultural institutions are improving mobility, international cultural cooperation and building institutional and administrative capacities in cultural institutions on the territory of the city of Novi Sad and municipalities of Sremski Karlovci, Beočin and Irig.
The ‘Plants AiR’ residential programme of the ‘Novi Sad 2021’ Foundation aims at increasing mobility of artists and cultural workers: both local ones who travel to other European Capitals of Culture, and foreign artists and cultural workers who present their creative work in Novi Sad.
